Writing this makes me feel like Scrooge
I never though I would say this, but Christmas isn’t always good.
- I think it’s ridiculous that parents spill the beans and tell children there is no such thing as Santa. Children love Santa, why bother ruining the fun of Christmas. Once one kid knows, everyone starts to find out. I mean when I was a little kid I would stay up as late as I could and I’d make cookies. And then my parents had to tell me Santa wasn’t real.
- It’s bad if you don’t get a lot of presents. This just makes you unhappy because everyone else got a ton.
- You get to decorate the tree just to see presents sitting under it for weeks just taunting you to sneak a peek. It’s so tempting to look.
- When your mom goes shopping you don’t know if she got you stuff, or your brother.
- You are so tempted to look for your presents, and then when you find them, you love them and want them right then, but you still have to wait till Christmas day to have them.
- You have to get all dressed up nice just to take one picture to send to a lot of family and friends. They know what you look like when you try, so why do we have to get all dressed up and nice looking just to take a picture.
- Sometimes you don’t get a present you want, and sometimes you get 2 of the same things, and you feel bad.
- All the cleaning you have to do after is a pain. No one wants to sit there and pick up lots and lots of rapping paper while you could be playing with your new stuff.
- If you get clothes, sometimes they aren’t your size, and you need to return them.
- When the break is over, you have to go back to school and get homework.
Even though all of these reasons may make it seem like I hate Christmas, I really do love it. It’s my favorite holiday, and I can’t wait because its only 3 days away!
